Summer 2018 Comes to an End

This summer has been filled with so much joy, fun, and adventure. It has also been filled with a lot of life changes.

End of May

The end of May was filled with the Homeschool Convention and fundraisers for a dear friend of mine running for School Board. We finalized the curriculum for the next school year and made sure that this summer would be filled with fun. We got the kids together for a day at the pool and enjoyed a day trip to a wildlife drive.

June Arrived

June was fun packed for sure. The downside was it started with an opportunity to teach J how to fix a frozen over AC system. We got it fixed pretty quick and were able to take off on our next adventure. We headed out to Siesta Key to spend the weekend with friends, go boating and enjoy the aquarium. Any trip to Ikea is an adventure and this summer we remodeled the downstairs so that I could have an amazing office. June held more events for my buddy Cade including fun hobnobs and socials. We also were able to head over to Sea World for their night time shows. The shows were absolutely amazing.

July Fun

In July we expanded our business services to include Photography and Videography and Political Campaign Management. We participated in the local July 4th parade and fireworks show. We decked the truck out in Patriotic attire and drove through Geneva. It was a blast. We met up with more friends at Sea World on the 5th and enjoyed just hanging out. J got baptized as well in July which is HUGE! We had several pool days and more hobnobs to keep us busy. Also, all the School Board debates started up. We also went on an adventure at Disney Springs with one of J’s aunts so that we could spend some quality time together. A new restaurant similar to Dave and Busters opened up near us and we took the time to go enjoy some games. J had the opportunity to meet an amazing artist and paint a picture with his help at Kids House. Kids House is a place for kids to go to when they have been abused to get help from law enforcement, and counselors. We try to do events with them whenever we are able as they have been a huge help to us.  If you are looking for an amazing organization to donate to that actually helps in Seminole County please look to Kids House.

End of Summer – August

The end of Summer included a trip to WordCamp Birmingham and more LEGO creations. We had a blast at WordCamp as we got to meet birds of prey up close. It was an amazing experience and Alabama is kind of a fun place to visit. It helped that I beat my bowling nemesis this trip! After WordCamp, it was time to come home and finish getting the school year in order. This year we are focusing on writing. All of J’s classes will have a writing component, even math. 7th grade will be fun. We had more hobnobs and events for the School Board race and the election is August 28th so it is rapidly approaching. We went out with friends to Universal this past weekend and took a look at the new Chocolate Emporium. Those desserts look fancy. We even took this weekend to go back out the Wildlife Drive to see what other fun animals we could find.

And now it is time for our first day back. Wish us luck!
